The drilling fluid gas separator (referred to as liquid-gas

Working principle:
During the drilling operation, gases in the formation, such as
natural gas and hydrogen sulfide, will invade the drilling fluid.
These gases will not only affect the performance of the drilling
fluid and reduce its ability to carry cuttings, but may also cause
serious safety accidents such as blowouts and explosions. The
drilling fluid gas separator can separate these harmful gases from
the drilling fluid in a timely and effective manner.
The drilling fluid gas separator produced and sold by our company
Huichi petro mainly works based on the principles of gravity
separation and mechanical separation. When the drilling fluid
containing gas enters the separator from the inlet, due to the
sudden decrease in flow rate, the density difference between the
gas and the drilling fluid under the action of gravity causes the
gas to begin to float. At the same time, a series of mechanical
separation elements, such as baffles, swirl blades, etc., are set
inside the separator. These elements will change the flow direction
and speed of the drilling fluid, further promoting the separation
of gas and drilling fluid. The separated gas is discharged through
the exhaust port at the top and discharged into the atmosphere
after safe treatment; while the degassed drilling fluid flows out
from the outlet at the bottom and returns to the drilling fluid
circulation system.

- Tank body: As the main structure of the separator, it is made of
high-strength carbon steel and has good sealing and pressure
resistance.
- Inlet device: Located on the upper part or side of the tank body, common inlet
device forms include tangential inlet, diffusion inlet, etc.

and drilling fluid, including baffles, swirl blades, screens, etc.
- Exhaust device: Installed on the top of the tank body, it consists of exhaust
pipes, valves and flame arresters.

in real time.
- Drain device: Located at the bottom of the tank, the degassed drilling fluid
flows out of the separator through the drainage pipe and re-enters
the drilling fluid circulation system.
